Weakly woody perennials, with ridged branchlets, glabrous except for short axillary pubescence. Leaves alternate, sessile and fleshy. Flowers bisexual, solitary in axils; perianth glabrous or lobes minutely pubescent along margins, 3-lobed or lobes united; stamens 3–5. Fruiting perianth tubular to urceolate, at least partly woody, lacking appendages; pericarp membranous below, thickened at apex; seed horizontal to vertical.
Endemic Australian genus of 2 species.
