Scarcely-branched erect shrub to 40 cm high, branches covered with greyish-white, cottony hairs. Leaves linear, semi-terete to clavate, 7–25 mm long, often curved at apex, densely covered with woolly hairs. Tube of fruiting perianth c. 3 mm long and as wide at apex, densely short-woolly; limb erect, c. 2 mm high, densely hairy; spines 2, divergent, ascending in the same (or very nearly the same) vertical plane, 8–12 mm long, hairy for much of their length; tubercule opposite radicle usually prominent.  Fruits Sep.–Oct. (3 records).

MuM. Rare in Victoria, collected from near Lalbert (post 2010) and an uncomfirmed record labelled Mildura (1946). Occurs in Eucalyptus largiflorens woodland on grey silty soil.
