Lipocarpha

Australian species formerly included in Lipocarpha have been shown to be nested in Cyperus (Bauters et al., 2014, A new classification for Lipocarpha and Volkiella as infrageneric taxa of Cyperus s.l. Phytotaxa 166(1):1-32). A core Lipocarpha of some 36 species remains, mainly from the Americas, Africa and Asia.
