Alleniella hymenodonta

Stem to c. 15 cm long, sparingly or densely branched in one plane; paraphyllia present on stems and branches; pseudoparaphyllia broadly lanceolate, c. 0.2–0.5 mm long. Leaves ovate to broadly ovate, 3–3.3 mm long, 1.1–1.4 mm wide, asymmetric, deeply and regularly undulate, decurrent; apex acuminate; costa absent or weak, single or double and to 1/4–1/3 or leaf length, rarely extending over ½ of length; margin denticulate toward apex, partly incurved on one side near base; laminal cells near apex rhomboid or oblong-rhomboid, c. 25–35 μm long, 5–8 μm wide, smooth; midlaminal cells oblong-rhomboid to linear, c. 55–75 μm long, 5–6 μm wide, smooth; basal laminal cells elongate-rhomboid to rectangular, c. 40–50 μm long, 7–10 μm wide, smooth; alar cells quadrate to rectangular, c. 15–25 μm long, 8–12 μm wide; branch leaves smaller than stem leaves, otherwise similar. Seta c. 0.3 mm long. Capsule immersed, obloid, c. 2.6 mm long. Calyptra glabrous.
