GrevenDioicous. Asexual propagules absent. Dull-green to blackish-green cushions on rocks. Asexual propagules absent. Stems 0.5–1 (–1.5) cm long, with occasional red-brown rhizoids, dark brown. Leaves erecto-patent when moist, appressed when dry, oblong-lanceolate, 1–1.9 mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide, concave; apex acute to acuminate, with a hair-point; hairpoint hyaline, denticulate, 0.2–0.5 mm long; costa excurrent as a hairpoint; margins entire, incurved in apical half, otherwise plane; laminal cells in apical half mostly isodiametric, 5–10 μm long, 5–10 μm wide, bistratose, straight walled or slightly sinuose, not distinctly incrassate, gradually transitioning into basal laminal cells; basal laminal cells rectangular, 15–45 μm long, 7–10 μm wide, straight walled. Setae 1–3 mm long, yellow, smooth, twisted clockwise. Capsules immersed or emergent, ovoid to oblong, 1.1–1.2 mm long, brown. Operculum rostrate from conic base, 0.7–0.8 mm long. Peristome present.
