Moraea miniata
Andrews Two-leaved Cape TulipCorm 10–25 mm diam., the tunics with nettedand dark brown to black, usually with bulbils. Leaves 2 or 3, sub-basal, linear, channeled, 20–100 cm long, , 5–15 mm wide. Inflorescence with scape branched; branches erect to widely spreading. Lower primary bracts 3–5 cm long; distal primary bracts with outer one 3–4 cm long, inner one 4–6 cm long. Inflorescence with several (2–)3–4-flowered clusters. Flowers pink, each with a yellow triangular 'centre' which is dotted with green basally, sweet-scented. Perianth segments free, subequal, elliptic, abruptly narrowed basally; outer perianth 1.5–2.5 cm long; inner perianth slightly smaller. Staminal filaments swollen and shortly hairy at base; anthers 2 mm long, adhering together. Ovary 5–10 mm long; style branches flattened, 1–2 mm long; style crests absent. Capsules c. 1.5 cm long. Bulbils 2–3.5 mm long, usually produced around in large clusters in leaf axils after flowering.
