Shrubby TwinleafWeak perennial subshrub to c. 1.5 m high, sometimes scrambling; stems slender. Leaves 2–40 mm long, green; leaflets continuous with petiole, linear to terete, to c. 15 mm long, to c. 2 mm wide, spreading, apex obtuse. Sepals 4, lanceolate to ovate, 3–6 mm long, deflexed in fruit; petals 4, obovate, 8–12 mm long, apex obtuse or slightly emarginate, golden-yellow; stamens 8, filaments not winged. Fruiting pedicels 4–10 mm long; fruit a depressed-globular schizocarp, 12–18 mm long, with 4 broad, scarious, net-veined wings, drooping, splitting into 2–4 indehiscent mericarps each with 1 wing on the back; seeds usually 1 per mericarp. Flowers mostly Jul.–Oct.
LoM, MuM, Wim, MSB, RobP, MuF, GipP. In Victoria, confined to the north-west where found in a variety of habitats including mallee communities and woodlands, growing in sand, calcareous soils or heavy clays.
