Establishment means:Naturalised

Weakly erect or scrambling herb, freely branching. Largest ultimate segments of leaves to 5 mm long and 3 mm wide, rarely more. Raceme sub-equal to the peduncle; bracts mostly half to three-quarters as long as pedicels; pedicels slender, spreading or becoming slightly recurved in fruit; sepals ovate, 2.5–4 mm long, peltately attached; corolla pink, 9–11 mm long, the upper and inner petals blackish at the apex; lower petal less than 0.5 mm wide medially. Fruit broadly ovate to broadly obovate, tapered near base, 2–2.3 mm long, usually slightly longer than wide, slightly keeled, smooth to minutely tuberculate toward keel, with shallow apical pits. Flowers mostly Aug.–Nov.

*CVU, *DunT, *EGL, *EGU, *GipP, *Glep, *Gold, *HNF, *HSF, *MuF, *MuM, *NIS, *OtP, *RobP, *Strz, *VRiv, *VVP, *WaP, *Wim. Also naturalised SA, NSW, ACT. Native to western Europe. A common weed of gardens and disturbed ground, mostly in cooler districts.

A variable species with many specimens having, pale, cleistogamous flowers only 6–8 mm long.
