Rosulabryum wightii
(Mitt.) J.R.SpenceDioicous. Asexual propagules absent. Dense tufts, green. Stems branched by innovation, to 16 cm tall, red, tomentose toward base. Rhizoids red. Leaves erect-spreading when moist, erect-spreading, curled and crispate when dry, mostly ovate, rarely oblong to oblong-spathulate, 5–9 mm long, 1–2 mm wide, concave; apex acute; costa excurrent as a short stout arista; arista denticulate; margin dentate near apex, reflexed toward base, with 1–2 rows of more elongate cells forming a moderately distinct border; laminal cells in apical half rhomboidal, to 80 μm long; basal laminal cells rectangular. Seta 20–30 mm long, brown. Capsule clavate, 5–7 mm long, curved.
