Dicksoniaceae
Terrestrial ferns. Rhizome creeping, ascending or erect (forming a trunk in Dicksonia), hairy, at least at apex, scales absent. Stipe with hairs at the base similar to those on rhizome. Fronds 2–4-pinnate; veins free. Sori marginal at ends of veins, protected by a 2-lipped indusium formed from the recurved lobe of the leaflet and an inner true indusium; receptacle small, bearing long-stalked sporangia and numerous fine hairs; annulus oblique. Gametophyte cordate.
4 genera; 2 in Australia, both in Victoria.
