Annual prostrate herb, stems creeping, rooting at nodes. Leaf-lamina c. circular in outline, cordate or reniform, 3–6 mm across, shallowly 5-lobed (cleft less than halfway to middle of leaf), lobes obtuse, entire or up to 3-toothed, glabrous; petiole 3–10 mm long; stipules more-or-less semi-circular, 0.5–0.8 mm long, erose, scarious. Umbels sessile, simple, leaf-opposed, globose, 5–10-flowered; flowers sessile, corolla narrower than ovary at anthesis, petals c. 0.2 mm long, whitish-green to purpilsh. Fruits sessile or subsessile (pedicels to 0.3 mm long), c. 0.8 mm long, 1–1.2 mm wide, surface smooth; mericarps with prominent dorsal rib, intermediate ribs apparent, but very fine. Flowers spring-early summer.
?Also NSW. Known from a few collections from Barmah Forest and nearby Nathalia. Occurs in Eucalyptus camaldulensis, E. microcarpa riparian forests on drying mud and silt of receding water bodies.
This poorly-known species is treated here as a native, but its relatively recent detection suggests it could possibly be an introduction to Australia with identity yet to be determined.
