Perennial herbs, stoloniferous, glabrous. Leaves pinnate; petioles sheathing at base. Inflorescence terminal and axillary or often a leaf-opposed compound umbel; bracts narrow; rays few and spreading; bracteoles conspicuous; pedicels spreading. Flowers bisexual, white; sepals minute, subulate; petals obovate with narrow inflexed apex; nectary conical. Fruit more or less orbicular, laterally compressed; mericarps with 5 slender ribs; carpophore split to base.
2 species, from the Northern Hemisphere and Africa; 1 naturalised in Australia.
