Goodenia paradoxa
(R.Br.) K.A.Sheph. Spur GoodeniaRosetted, softly pubescent perennial with decumbent to ascending flowering scapes to 60 cm high. Leaves subsessile to long-petiolate, obovate to elliptic, 5–25 cm long (including petiole), 15–35 mm wide, obtuse, virtually glabrous except for hairs on midrib and margins, margins toothed. Inflorescences racemose or subumbellate; bracteoles free, oblong to ovate, 1–4 cm long, often toothed or deeply incised. Sepals 5, usually 4–10 mm long, free, pubescent; corolla 10–20 mm long, spurred, pubescent outside, glabrous to sparsely hairy inside, yellow, wings to 3 mm wide; indusium ovate, with short hairs around base, orifice very curved and with short bristles. Capsule compressed-ovoid, 7–9 mm long, pubescent; seeds orbicular, 3–5 mm diam., smooth, wing to 1 mm wide. Flowers mainly Sep.–Feb.
