Zoopsis leitgebiana

Yellow- to light bright green mats or threads. Specialised asexual propagules absent. Stem ellipsoid in cross-section, 2 cell rows wide and to 635 μm wide. Leaves asymmetric, 2-lobed, 240–300 μm long, 180–220 μm wide; disc (2–) 3 (–5) cells wide, 1 cell long; acroscopic lobe larger, (3–) 5–8 celled, 1–2 cells wide at base; smaller basiscopic lobe a single row of 1–2 cells; leaf cells getting progressively smaller toward lobe apices, those in lobes oblong, those in disc oblong to rounded polygonal or rounded quadrate, 65–130 μm long, 60–120 μm wide, thin-walled, without trigones, smooth, with 4–8 grey papillose oil bodies. Underleaves vestigial, with a basal row of (2–) 3 quadrate cells and 2 oblong cells forming lobes each with a terminal ephemeral slime papilla. Perianth obloid, to 2000 μm long and 650 μm wide, 6-lobed.
