Goodenia robusta
(Benth.) K.Krause Woolly GoodeniaErect or ascending perennial to 40 cm high, yellowish-villous with stellate and multicellular hairs. Leaves mostly basal; basal leaves elliptic to narrow-oblong, 4–12 cm long, 8–30 mm wide, obtuse, surfaces villous, margins entire, toothed or sinuate, base attenuate into an indistinct petiole; cauline leaves stem-clasping. Inflorescences terminal racemes to 35 cm long, much longer than leaves; peduncle 1.5–7 cm long, sometimes geniculate at bracteoles at anthesis; pedicels non-articulate, 1–7 cm long; bracteoles linear, 5–8 mm long, villous. Sepals lanceolate, 4–8 mm long; corolla c. 15 mm long, villous outside, more or less glabrous inside, yellow, abaxial lobes 5–6 mm long, wings 1.5–2 mm wide; indusium broad-elliptic, folded; ovules c. 30. Fruit ovoid to ellipsoid, c. 10 mm long, valves often bifid; seeds suborbicular, c. 2.5 mm diam., smooth, brown, wing vestigial. Flowers mainly Aug.–Dec.
