Usually a dense, intricately branched shrub to c. 50 cm high, branches white-woolly. Leaves linear, plano-convex to subterete, 6–13 mm long, glabrous or, usually, sericieous at least when young, finally glabrous. Fruiting perianth hard, white-; tube more or less globular, 4–6 mm long and wide, attachment flat; limb erect, to c. 2 mm long; spines 2, stout, opposite, erect to spreading c. 5–15 mm long, woolly at least in basal half. Flowers Oct.–Feb.
Wim. Native to WA, NT, SA, Qld, NSW. Known in Victoria by single collection (collected in 2015) from a small stand of apparently naturalised plants in mallee woodland just west of Lake Buloke near Donald.
