Twiggy, spreading to semi-upright perennial, with branches to c. 40 cm long. Leaves narrowly oblong or narrowly ellpitic, 10–22 mm long, 1–3 mm wide. Fruit ovoid, pink to crimson at maturity; fruiting sepals usually reflexed. Flowers mostly Sep.–Jan.
VRiv, MuF. Also Qld, NSW. Known with certainty only from the far north-central parts of the State (e.g. Barmah, Nathalia, Echuca) where occurring in grassy woodlands and forests on heavier soils prone to inundation.
