Leaves 10–30(–70), oblanceolate to obovate, 6–30 mm long, 1.5–4 mm wide, the basal part somewhat hyaline. Compound heads transversely elliptic to depressed-ovoid, 4–5 mm high, 5–20 mm diam.; capitular bracts 5–6, oblanceolate, 3.3–3.8 mm long, 0.3–0.7 mm wide. Florets 10–40 per capitulum; corolla-tube 3- or 4(rarely 5)-lobed, yellow. Cypselas polymorphic, the majority 0.5–0.6 mm long, c. 0.35 mm diam., but a few c. twice this size Flowers Aug.–Oct.

LoM, MuM, MSB, RobP, NIS. All mainland states. Scattered through mallee communities in the north-west of the State, with an outlying occurrence near Mt Hope (south of Kerang).
