Pultenaea pedunculata
Hook. Matted Bush-peaProstrate, mat-forming shrub; stems pubescent, often rooting. Leaves alternate, flat, narrowly elliptic 6–11 mm long, 1–2 mm wide; apex acicular; upper surface hairy on young growth, finally glabrous, slightly tuberculate, darker than lower; lower surface with sparse, appressed hairs; margin recurved; stipules 2–3 mm long, midrib prominent. Flowers toward ends of lateral branches, usually solitary, axillary, on slender peduncles to 30 mm long; bracts absent; calyx 4–5 mm long, tube usually glabrous, lobes slender acuminate, hairy and often recurved; bracteoles attached at base of calyx tube, narrowly lanceolate, 2–4 mm long; standard 7–8 mm wide; ovary hairy. Pod flat and exserted from calyx. Flowers Sep.–Dec.
LoM, Wim, GleP, VVP, VRiv, GipP, OtP, Gold, CVU, GGr, DunT, HSF. Also SA, NSW, Tas. Rather common in open, usually dry forest through central Victoria.
Flower colour is very variable, even within the one population. A particularly attractive apricot colour form is in cultivation and known as 'Pyalong Pink'.
