Cyanothamnus anemonifolius subsp. anemonifolius
Shrub to 1.5 m high; branches glabrous or hirsute between decurrent leaf-bases. Leaves trifoliolate (rarely biternate), 4–15(–20) mm long 2–14(–19) mm wide; leaflets terete (rarely plane), narrow-cuneate, tridentate, 2–7(–9) mm long, 1–2.5 mm wide; petiole 2–7(–10) mm long. Inflorescence 1–3-flowered; peduncle 1–8 mm. Sepals 1.5–2 mm long, glabrous or hirsute, (one-quarter to) half as long as petals; petals 3.5–6.5 mm long, glabrous to indumented, persistent. Flowers spring.
Wim, VVP, VRiv, GipP, Gold, CVU, GGr, EGL, EGU, HSF, HNF, MonT, VAlp. Occurring from the Brisbane Ranges east to the New South Wales border. Usually in open-forest or woodland on a variety of substrates, often on shallow, rocky soils, sometimes dominant in the understorey.
