Ozothamnus conditus
(N.A.Wakef.) Anderb. Pepper EverlastingErect to spreading shrub to 2.5 m high; branchlets densely cottony, not viscid. Leaves spicily aromatic, spreading, oblong, narrow-elliptic or narrow-lanceolate, (10–)15–28 mm long, 1.5–2.5 mm wide, glabrescent above, densely white-cottony and glandular beneath, apex acute or obtuse, margin flat; petiole 2–5 mm long. Inflorescences hemispherical, 1.5–5 cm diam. Capitula (20–)60–80, dull-yellow, campanulate, 3–3.5 mm long, 1.5–3 mm wide; involucral bracts 28–37, innermost spathulate, with lamina trullate, 1.5–2.5 mm long, reflexed, flat, white, margin entire; receptacle bracts absent (rarely 1); female florets 3–4; hermaphrodite florets 10–14. Cypsela pyriform, c. 1.3 mm long, densely papillose; pappus c. 2.5 mm long, apex clavate Flowers Dec.–Jan.
