Annual herb, hairy. Leaves in basal rosette and cauline, entire to lobed. Inflorescence few-flowered, appearing basal due to reduced main axis. Sepals erect to spreading, inner pair slightly different from outer pair; petals not clawed, white; stamens 6. Fruit linear, flattened parallel to septum, usually 3–4 times as long as wide, dehiscent; style very short or absent, stigma depressed-capitate; valves with midvein and reticulum of secondary veins; seeds in 2 rows.
A single, endemic species.
