Haegiela
Cobwebbed annual herbs. Leaves entire, sessile, towards the base adnate to the lateral branch, at least the lower ones opposite and connate. Capitula solitary, axillary, subsessile, disciform, heterogamous. Involucral bracts 3-seriate, prominently incurved; outer bracts imbricate, scarious, silvery-translucent, at least the upper margins ciliate; innermost bracts subcartilaginous, with a ciliate, hyaline apex, shorter than outer bracts; receptacle flat, glabrous, ebracteate. Outer florets female, filiform; inner florets bisexual, 4-lobed, fewer than outer florets, stamens 4, anthers tailed, style branches short, truncate. Cypselas obovoid or ellipsoid, minutely papillose; pappus absent.
Monotypic genus endemic to Australia.
