Ozothamnus rosmarinifolius
(Labill.) Sweet Rosemary EverlastingErect shrub to 3(–4.5) m high; branchlets densely cottony, not viscid. Leaves spreading to suberect, linear, 8–32 mm long, c. 1 mm wide, acute, glabrous but densely scabrous above, greyish-cottony beneath (largely obscured), margins strongly revolute; petiole to 1.5 mm long. Inflorescences corymbose to hemispherical, 3–6 cm diam. Capitula 200–500, white or yellowish, sometimes reddish, narrow campanulate, 3–4 mm long, c. 2 mm wide; involucral bracts 17–24, innermost spathulate, with lamina elliptic, 0.5–1.5 mm long, suberect, plicate, white, margin irregular; receptacle bracts 0–2; female florets absent; hermaphrodite florets (4–)5–8(–9). Cypsela cylindric, c. 1 mm long, sparsely papillose; pappus bristles 2–3 mm long, apex clavate. Flowers Nov.–Feb.
GleP, VVP, GipP, OtP, WaP, CVU, GGr, NIS, EGL, EGU, WPro, HSF, HNF, OtR, Strz, MonT, HFE, VAlp. Also NSW, Tas. Scattered in swampy heathlands or shrublands across southern Victoria and there mostly confined to lowlands, but also in subalps in the east (e.g. Wulgulmerang area) where uncommon.
