Annual herb to 30 cm high, wiry, straggling, glabrous or sparsely papillose. Basal leaves to 5 cm long, pinnately lobed with 2–3 pairs of lobes; stem leaves few, scattered, to 4 cm long, simple or 3-lobed. Sepals c. 2 mm long; petals 3–6 mm long, olive-green to purple, claw narrow, lamina round with long, slender apex. Fruit globose to broadly obovoid, 3–5 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, apex slightly notched; pedicles horizontal to recurved, 3–11 mm long. Flowers mostly spring.
LoM, MuM, Wim, RobP, GGr. Also WA, SA, NSW. Grows on sandy soil in north-west Victoria, extending south to Mt Arapiles.
