Leaf lamina obovate or elliptic, 1–3.5 cm wide, base gradually attenuate, margins toothed. Inner involucral bracts broadly ovate to lanceolate, usually with woolly and c. lacerate margins. Ray florets 4–8, ligules 7–14 mm long. Fruit globose to subglobose Flowers Aug.–Nov.
LoM, MuM, Wim, GleP, VVP, GipP, OtP, WaP, Gold, CVU, HSF, OtR, Strz. Also naturalised WA, SA, NSW, Tas. Native to southern Africa. Naturalised through much of the State, particularly in rocky and/or near-coastal sites with major infestations occuring on the Mornington Peninsula and the You Yangs.
