Ozothamnus turbinatus
DC. Coast EverlastingDense spreading shrub to 2(–3) m high; branchlets densely cottony, not viscid. Leaves spreading, linear, (8–)12–25 mm long, 1–2 mm wide, glabrous above, densely cottony beneath, whitish or yellow-resinous, apex acute to obtuse, margins revolute; petiole 1.5–3 mm long. Inflorescences hemispherical, 2–5 cm diam. Capitula 20–40, dull yellow, turbinate, 6.5–8 mm long, 3–5 mm wide; involucral bracts 25–36, innermost spathulate, with lamina semicircular, 1–2 mm long, suberect, plicate, white, margin entire; receptacle bracts absent (rarely 1); female florets absent; hermaphrodite florets (13–)16–31. Cypsela obloid, c. 1.5 mm long, sparsely papillose; pappus bristles 4–5.5 mm long, apex narrowly clavate. Flowers Jan.–Mar.
