Treubia tasmanica
R.M.Schust. & G.A.M.ScottTerrestrial. Asexual reproduction rare, by stalked pyriform gemmae produced in axils of adaxial lobules, (2–) 5–7-celled at maturity. Shoots 15–40 mm long, 5–9 mm wide. Leaf-like segments semicircular to broadly ovate, (3–) 4.3–5 mm long, 6.5–7 mm wide, ascending, imbricate, rounded at apex, bright to deep green, 4 cells thick in midleaf, decreasing in thickness toward margin and unistratose for around 9 marginal cell rows. Adaxial lobules semicircular to broadly ovate, erect, decurrent. Cells of leaf-like lobes quadrate, almost all with 1 (–2) oil bodies near margins, most with oil bodies away from margins, 25–53 μm diam.; oil bodies large, granular, opaque, brownish-grey. Shoot calyptra without paraphyllia, with unfertilised archegonia at base. Capsule globose to short-ovoid.
HSF. Recorded from small sheltered sandy beaches along fast flowing creeks with large boulders, flowing down the west slope of the Baw Baw Plateau. Also, Tasmania.
