Annual or biennial herbs. Leaves toothed to pinnately dissected (not in Victoria), with branched hairs. Inflorescence an elongated raceme. Sepals spreading; petals clawed, white; stamens 6. Fruit linear, straight, more than 3 times as long as wide, dehiscent; style short, stigma depressed-capitate; valves with midvein fading towards distal end; seeds in 1 to almost 2 rows per locule.
