Erect, to 30 cm high; hairs sessile to stalked, branched (except on fruit). Basal leaves narrowly obovate, to 10 cm long, with 1–4 pairs of usually triangular teeth or segments (segments sometimes pinnately lobed), tapering to petiole; stem leaves reducing. Sepals 1.5–3 mm long; petals 3.5–6 mm long. Fruit spreading, fusiform, usually falcate, 6–14 mm long (excluding style), 1–3.5 mm wide, hairs mostly simple (some branched) and flattened, longer and shaggy at distal end of fruit; style usually 1–2 mm long; pedicels spreading to horizontal, slender, 4–12 mm long. Flowers mostly Jul.–Nov.
LoM, MuM, Wim, MSB, RobP, MuF. All mainland states except WA. Generally restricted to sandy or light soils in the north-west of the State.
