Drepanocladus aduncus
(Hedw.) Warnst.Dioicous. Loose wefts, yellow- or brown-green. Stems distichously and subpinnately branched, commonly c. 50 mm long, brown, with sparse red-brown rhizoids. Leaves falcate-secund, ovate-lanceolate, (1.3–) 2.5 mm long, 0.75 mm wide, plane to inrolled near margins; apex shortly acuminate; costa ill-defined, mostly reaching mid leaf or slightly beyond; margins entire, plane or inrolled, without a border; midlaminal cells vermicular, c. 30–51 μm long, 2.5–4 μm wide, smooth, becoming wider, to 12 μm wide, toward base; alar cells strongly inflated, hyaline to yellow-brown, forming a clearly differentiated triangular and auriculate group extending 2/3 of the way to the costa. Seta 6–60 mm long, yellow to orange, smooth. Capsule horizontal, cylindric, curved, 1.5–2.5 mm long.
