Stipules one half to three quarters the length of leaves below inflorescences. Bracts of inflorescences much shorter than to c. twice as long as peduncle, rarely longer. Ovary glabrous. Flowers spring–summer.
VVP, GipP, OtP, Gold, CVU, EGL, EGU, HSF, HNF, OtR, Strz, HFE, VAlp. Widespread in damp to wet forests mostly in the east half of the state.
