Glebionis
Annual herbs to 80 cm high. Leaves mostly cauline, alternate, petiolate or sessile, undivided, lobed, or 1- or 2-pinnatisect. Capitula pedunculate, hemispherical, solitary or 2–3 per stem, radiate; involucral bracts c. 3-seriate, unequal, outer ones shorter; receptacle convex to hemispherical, naked. Ray florets female, 1-seriate, ligulate; ligules 3-lobed, yellow or yellow and white. Disc florets bisexual; corolla funnel-shaped, 5-lobed, yellow; anthers obtuse at base, with and ovate apical appendage; style with linear truncate branches. Cypselas mostly 10-ribbed, dimorphic or slightly dimorphic, those of rays trigonous, winged, those of discs terete or slightly trigonous, winged or not. Pappus absent.
2 or 3 species native to the Europe, Macaronesia, northern Africa and south-west Asia; 1 species naturalised in Australia.
