2 varieties, only Rubus rosifolius var. rosifolius present in Victoria. Rubus rosifolius var. commersonii only occurs in New South Wales and Queensland. This variety is distinguished by the greater number of petals (9–13), whereas R. rosifolius var. rosifolius only has 5 petals.
