Rhodanthe anthemoides
(Spreng.) Paul G.Wilson Chamomile SunrayAscending to erect perennial to c. 30 cm high, glabrous or sparsely cottony. Leaves alternate, linear or lanceolate, 4–15 mm long, 0.5–2 mm wide, somewhat glaucous, margins and midrib with scattered, stalked glandular hairs, the entire leaf with sunken, sessile glands. Capitula probably homogamous, hemispherical to radiate, 10–14 mm long, solitary; involucral bracts several-seriate, usually with a few cottony hairs, outer bracts short, brown, innermost bracts with hyaline-winged claws and spreading white laminae 4–9 mm long. Florets 30–40 per capitulum, bisexual (innermost possibly functionally male). Cypselas c. 2–3 mm long, densely silky-hairy; pappus persistent, of 12–20 long-plumose bristles. Flowers Sep.–Feb.
