Plants without sporophytes 1–1.5 mm tall. Leaves erect to erect-spreading when moist, incurved and somewhat twisted when dry, spathulate to broadly elliptic, up to 1 mm long, concave to convolute; apices obtuse, sometimes cucullate; costa percurrent or ending in or below apex; margins; laminal cells in apical half irregularly polygonal, somewhat samllerand more quadrate at margin, isodiametric, 17–25 μm wide, papillose or smooth. Setae 1.5–2 mm long, straight, pale reddish brown. Capsules erect, ovoid to pyriform, straight. Operculum rostrate from conic base. Peristome absent.
