Eremophila deserti
(A.Cunn. ex Benth.) Chinnock Turkey-bushErect shrub to c. 4 m high, glabrous; branches sometimes obscurely tuberculate. Leaves alternate, linear to oblanceolate, 2–5.5 cm long, 3–8 mm wide, apex uncinate, margins entire. Inflorescences 1–4-flowered; pedicels 5–10 mm long, reflexed. Flowers almost actinomorphic; sepals triangular, 2–3 mm long, apex acuminate, c. imbricate basally, green; corolla almost rotate, 4–7 mm long, glabrous or inside of lobes pubescent at base, cream, unspotted; stamens 5, included, anthers sagittate; ovary glabrous, style glabrous. Fruit ovoid to subglobose, 4–6.5 mm long, 4–5.5 mm diam., succulent, glabrous, yellow to black. Flowers mainly Jul.–Oct.

Scattered mainly across northern Victoria in woodland and mallee communities, with isolated occurrences in the south along rocky watercourses (e.g. Merri and Jacksons Creeks, Werribee River) between Keilor and Bacchus Marsh. .
