Ozothamnus decurrens
F.Muell. Ridged EverlastingSpreading shrub to c. 0.5 m high; branchlets densely cottony, not viscid. Leaves spreading, sessile, linear, 2–8 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide, glabrous and scabrous above, densely cottony and glandular beneath, apex rounded, base decurrent into 2 prominent green, glabrous ridges, margins revolute. Inflorescences c. hemispherical, 1–2.5 cm diam. Capitula 12–40, cream, cylindric, 4–5 mm long, 1.5–2 mm wide; involucral bracts c. 25–30, innermost linear, with lamina semicircular, c. 1 mm long, erect, flat, white with hyaline margin entire; receptacle bracts absent or 1; female florets absent; hermaphrodite florets 7–12. Cypsela cylindric, c. 1 mm long, densely papillose; pappus bristles 2–3 mm long, apex narrow-clavate. Flowers Dec.–Jan.
LoM, MuM, Wim, RobP, Gold. Also SA. Uncommon in Victoria, usually occurring in mallee communities on loamier soils of flats and dune swales, also on rocky outcrops.
