Sprawling, glabrous and glaucous annuals with slender taproots. Leaves 2–3-pinnate, petiolate. Inflorescence a compound umbel, terminal and axillary; involucral bracts 2–6, lanceolate to ovate; bracteoles 4–6, filiform. Flowers bisexual, white; sepals inconspicuous; petals broadly oblong to obovate, apex inflexed; nectary shortly conical or flat. Fruit elliptic to broadly elliptic or ovate to broadly ovate, dorsally compressed; vittae 6; mericarps prominently ribbed, marginal ribs winged; carpophore bifid.
4 species native to South Africa; 1 species naturalised in Australia.
