Hyalosperma stoveae

Semi-prostrate herbs to c. 2 cm high; branches moderately villous. Leaves subopposite, narrowly oblong, elliptic or narrowly obovate, 3-nerved, to c. 5 mm long, fleshy, acute, glabrous or sparsely cottony. Capitula sessile amongst leaves; involucral bracts c. 2-seriate, all ovate to obovate, c. 2 mm long, mainly hyaline but the midrib green for c. half the length of the bract and the apex sometimes semi-opaque; receptacle convex to conical; florets 25–40, bisexual, corolla 3-lobed, anthers included. Cypselas broadly obovoid, c. 0.5 mm long, smooth; pappus bristles c. 10, plumose, united at base. Flowers c. Sep.
