Vittadinia australasica
(Turcz.) N.T.Burb.Annual or short-lived perennial herb or sub-shrub, mostly 10–30 cm high, branched above base, pubescent with varying proportions of short, erect, glandular hairs and longer, spreading to subappressed simple hairs. Leaves oblanceolate to narrowly obovate, 8–30 mm long, 2–8 mm wide, entire or with 1 or 2 pairs of small teeth above midway; apex obtuse to acute, often recurved. Involucral bracts linear, the longest 4.5–9 mm long; ray florets mauve to white, ligules 2–3 mm long. Cypsela narrowly cuneate (sometimes slightly tapered just below summit), 3–5 mm long, flattened, marginal ribs glabrous (except sometimes immediately below summit), slightly thicker than facial ribs, facial ribs continuing to summit, faces with rather sparse, inclined simple hairs that are sometimes minutely notched, glands absent; pappus bristles barbellate, the longest 6–8.5 mm long.
