Sprawling shrubs. Leaves linear, oblong or obovate, 10–30(–35) mm long, 3–9 mm wide, margins flat or recurved, lobed. Capitula solitary or in clusters of 2 or 3(–5); peduncles 23–45 mm long; ligules mauve or blue. Flowers Oct.–Dec.
GleP, Brid, VVP, GipP, HSF, HNF. Occurs in moist forest and swampy heathland, generally at lower altitudes (up to c. 300 m alt.), in a few disjunct areas of southern Victoria (e.g. Portland area, Emerald, Gembrook and Tonimbuk), but generally uncommon.
Plants from the Portland area tend to have much shorter leaves than those from eastern Victoria.
