Christella
Rhizome short to long-creeping, scaly. Lamina once pinnate with deeply lobed pinnae (almost 2-pinnate), basal pinnae gradually reduced in size, lowest ones much shorter than middle ones; lamina and veins softly hairy, thick orange-red glandular hairs also on veins; basal veins on adjacent lobes joining, others free. Sori round, in one row either side of midrib, away from pinna margins; indusium kidney-shaped; sporangium without hairs near annulus, but with elongate unicellular glandular hair on stalk of sporangium; spores tuberculate.
About 50 species; 5 occurring in mostly tropical Australia, 1 in Victoria.
