LoM, Wim, GleP, VVP, GipP, OtP, WaP, Gold, CVU, GGr, DunT, EGU, OtR. Also SA. Occurs from near Anglesea and Cape Otway west into South Australia and north to the Grampians and Little Desert.
The type of this subspecies comes from Kangaroo Is. and the identity of the Victorian trees is somewhat in doubt. Records of this subspecies from west of Port Phillip Bay are attributable to abnormal 5- or 7-flowered forms of subsp. pryoriana.
