Leaves flattened, acute to shortly awned, hardly fasciculate, 10–25(–50) mm long, (0.8–)1–1.5(–2) mm wide, glabrous or upper leaves glandular-hairy; stipules not acuminate, 2.5–6 mm long, connate for more than half their length. Inflorescence lax, dichasial; pedicels reflexed or not, much longer than sepals, glabrous or glandular-hairy. Flowers (7.5–)10–13 mm diam.; sepals (3–)4–5(–6) mm long, glabrous or glandular-hairy with hairs 0.25–0.4 mm long; petals usually slightly exceeding sepals, white, rose-pink or lilac; stamens (0–)9 or 10(–11), with 0–10 staminodes. Capsules ovoid-oblong, 1–2.5(–6) mm longer than sepals; seeds 0.6–1.1 mm long, smooth to minutely tuberculate, red-brown, scariously winged or occasionally unwinged, the wing-margin entire to more or less denticulate. Flowers Sep.–Jan.
