Apalochlamys
Biennial herb; young stems and inflorescences densely tomentose, not viscid. Leaves alternate, sessile, stem-clasping, cordate to auriculate at base. Inflorescences pyramidal, spreading, leafy at the base. Capitula campanulate, hyaline, pale brown; involucral bracts several-seriate, lanceolate, hyaline, pale brown with lamina narrow-triangular, erect, flat, margins entire; receptacle bracts present; female florets absent; bisexual florets tubular, 5-lobed, anthers tailed at base; style branches truncate, papillose cypselas with persistent pappus.
A monotypic genus, endemic to southern Australia. Closely allied to Calomeria
