Vittadinia eremaea
N.T.Burb.Annual herb to 25 cm high, branched above base; stems and leaves scabrid, hirsute with septate hairs, ± viscid with minute glandular hairs. Leaves cuneate to broadly oblanceolate, 1–3 cm long, 2–10 mm wide, entire or with one or two teeth near apex; apex rounded, obtuse or apiculate and recurved, often conduplicate. Involucral bracts linear to narrow-elliptical, the longest 7 mm long, pubescent with minute glandular hairs, ciliate at apex; ray florets pinkish mauve or purplish, ligules 1–1.5 mm long. Cypselas oblanceolate or spathulate, 5–6.5 mm long, flattened; base with dense appressed eglandular hairs; marginal ribs with appressed eglandular hairs, grooved, short clavate hairs along groove; faces unribbed, depressed, with scattered appressed, eglandular hairs and shorter clavate hairs; pappus bristles barbellate, 5–6.5 mm long.
