Mallee to 7 m tall. Adult leaves lanceolate, 7.5–13 cm long, 1.5–3 cm wide, glossy, green. Buds 0.9–1.8 cm long, 0.4–0.6 cm diam.; flowers creamy-white to pale yellow. Fruit to 1.8 cm long, 0.6 cm diam.
MuM, Wim. Widespread in southern South Australia. Known in Victoria from a few records in the far west near the border with South Australia.
Hybrids with the type subspecies have been recorded in South Australia where the two taxa occur together.
