Stems pendulous, flaccid, usually undivided. Leaves conspicuous, spirally arranged, sessile, decurrent, irregular-oblong, acuminate to mucronate, with single vein. Sporophyll lobes leaf-like. Synangium borne at base of sporophyll, elongate, with two chambers, splitting longitudinally.
About 12 species, restricted to the southern Pacific region; 6 in eastern Australia, 4 in Victoria. Most are epiphytes on tree-ferns.
