Acacia genistifolia subsp. attenuata
A.T.WebbPhyllodes subterete to terete, sometimes rhombic in transverse section, linear or narrow-linear, (0.75–)1–1.5 mm in diameter, 25–70(–95) mm long, >20 times longer than wide, diverging from the stem at 38°–65°(–77°). Flower-heads yellow. Pods mostly glabrous, (35–)40–80(–100) mm long, 2–5(–8) mm wide.
GipP, OtP, CVU, GGr, EGL, EGU, HSF. Also NSW. Known from lowland forests in Gippsland, mostly east of Bairnsdale, but with outlying records from near Wilsons Promontory and the Macalister River catchment near Licola.
Some populations of north-east of Melbourne (e.g. Panton Hill, Arthurs Creek areas) include plants that approach A. genistifolia subsp. attenuata, but usuallly mixed with typical forms of subsp. genistifolia. They have been referred to the typical subspecies (Webb et al. 2021).
